Synopsis

O Land of Wrath’ is a mix of experimental visual poetry and documentary. The films narrative evolves around Maltese folk music, ‘Għana’, and musicians, ‘Għanejja’ with underlying themes of the Maltese subconscious. The elements of the film are transmitted through a technical and social/cultural voice on Għana and visions of Għanejja and of the Maltese landscape and psyche.

Adrian Camilleri

Director

Adrian Camilleri is a Maltese anthropologist, artist, musician & filmmaker. Adrian started experimenting with film in 2015 and produced several experimental short films. Following a BA in Anthropology from the University of Malta, Camilleri graduated with a Masters degree in Ethnographic Film & Documentary at UCL, London. Currently he is lecturing Visual Anthropology at the University of Malta and working on his first feature film.
