Feature film awards | NIFF 2021 | Nepal International Film Festival

NIFF 2021 (Online) has come to a close, and its awards winning films have been announced. For the feature film awards, verdict came from the 3-person jury panel headed by iconic Nepali filmmaker Tulsi Ghimire (filmmaker, director, actor) and involving Sharofat Arabova (filmmaker, curator – Tajikistan) and Dr. Martin Botha (professor, author, film critic – South Africa).

According to the final verdict, there are seven recipients of various awards under the feature film competitions. Starting with,

Award for the Best National Feature film goes to (‘Ama Khando’ – Nepal, directed by Dhondup Tsering)

Best Writer, goes to Sergio Basso, for the film ‘Sarita – Tell Me Who I Am’

Best Cinematographer, goes to Sirish Gurung, for the film ‘Lato Kosero’

Best Actor in a leading role (male), goes to Navin Shilpakar, for the film ‘Lato Kosero’

Best Actor in a leading role (female), goes to Sarita Giri, for the film ‘Lato Kosero’

The Gautama Buddha Award for the Best International feature film goes to (‘Dictionary’ – India, directed by Bratya Basu)
