NIFF 2026 is a partially ticketed event. Film shows at QFX Cinemas are ticketed, while the films at the Russian House in Kathmandu and discussions (NIFF FORUM) are all free to enter.

Film Shows:

Film shows are ticketed at NPR 150 per ticket per person, and this ticket means that the holder can watch films in a 90-120-minute block. A block can either have one film (feature length) or several films (shorts and documentaries). 

Selected films will be screened across three venues, QFX Chhaya (Thamel), QFX Civil (Sundhara), and the Russian House in Kathmandu (Kamal Pokhari) from 2-6 April 2026. 

How to buy tickets for film shows?

Visitors can get the tickets at the event venue itself without any hassle. This ticket, priced at NPR 150 per ticket, allows the buyer to watch one (feature-length) or more (short) films for the price paid. 

All film show tickets can be pre-booked through the Khalti App (inside EVENTS tab).

Ticket sale/pre-booking starts from 15 March 2026.
