Synopsis

Takashi, a popular actor, is reported to have had an affair and gives a public apology at a press conference, but things take a sudden turn when his wife barges in!

Director's Statement

Apology conferences are rarely found in other countries and are considered unique to Japanese culture. The apology conference is symbolic of Japan's culture of reading-between-the lines and peer pressure. This peer pressure can effectively maintain control of citizens and eliminate dangerous people. Still, it can collectively destroy anyone who deviates even slightly and hurt them excessively when taken too far. Recently, there have been cases of celebrities committing suicide due to slander. This phenomenon may be caused by Japan's strong peer pressure. This film expresses the suffocating atmosphere of Japan, and I hope that it will give viewers a chance to think about how to live in such a situation.
