Synopsis

Ram, a young Madhesi IT engineer, and Sita, a young Pahadi woman, meet in a café in Kathmandu for a blind date. Sita accidentally puts sleeping powder in her coffee, which Ram had brought but changed his mind about. When his mother calls him urgently to tell him Grandma is ill and may die any moment, Ram is forced to instantly drive his mom to Janakpur, his ancestral home province bordering India. In a panic, he puts the sleeping Sita in the boot of the car and drives to Janakpur. Upon reaching Janakpur, Ram takes Sita to the abandoned bungalow belonging to his family. He doesn’t know what to do with her and is regretful of what he’s done. The next morning, Sita wakes up to find herself gagged, blindfolded and tied to a wheelchair. Ram takes good care of her. He even goes and buys her favourite food for lunch. When he unties her hands so she can eat by herself, she knocks him out with a little wooden stool. When Ram wakes up, he finds himself tied to the wheelchair. The tables are turned! Sita threatens to send Ram to jail. He’s willing to do anything to be forgiven. Just then, a train passes by. Sita is fascinated; she has never been on a train before. Sita orders Ram to take her on the train and to give her a tour of the area since she’s never been there before. Ram drives around to various places of scenic interest in Janakpur as well as places which hold memories from his childhood – the village pond, the mango orchards, the bamboo groves, the dusty roads through sweeping fields, to scenic villages, ending at the spectacular Ram Janaki Mandir. The story covers a timespan of two days, and in those two days they go from complete strangers to a potential love match made in heaven.
