Memories and Miseries

In creating and developing Memories and Miseries, Mohammad Fakhrul Alam attempted to explore the deeper, unspoken layers of human lives- the moments where memory and emotion collide, where the soul grapples with its purpose and its past. Traveling for almost a decade throughout the country like a dervish, Alam had always longed for expressing stories he had lived through. His first approach began at a very early age with his poetry being published in renowned national and Indian literary magazines and later completed with his first and last poetry collection, The Whisper of Time. Initiating Streetlight, a rock band with childhood friends, theatre named Inferno with seniors from university, and a locally popular cinebuff community Scenate, he had always attempted to portray his poetic vision and philosophy towards life in different mediums of art. And now, with his first concept film Memories and Miseries which is a smaller part of his dream project with the same name, he has begun a new conquest on preserving his ideas with the magic of cinema.
