Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, Mark’s background as a writer of novels, computer games, and TV shows for over 20 years strongly informs his work as an AI filmmaker. His stories are rooted in an interest in the power of narratives, systems, and storytelling in shaping society, culture, history, and identity. Mark is best known for his award-winning cinematic AI short films like the psychological horror film "Unblind" (2024) (i.a. winner "Best Director" at AI Artist Beijing 2024), the poetic video essay "The Cinema That Never Was" (2025) (i.a. Grand Prize Korea Content Awards 2025, Grand Prize OMNI International AI Film Festival 2025, 2nd Place Winner Reply AI Film Festival 2025, Craft Vanguard Award at 56th International Film Festival of India 2025), or the dystopian drama "Ceremony" (2025) (Top 12 Finalist at the $1,000,000 AI Film Award 2026 by 1BFS & Google Gemini).
