The Dino Family

Maksim Volkov (born 1981 in Voronezh) is a Russian screenwriter and director known for his work in feature-length animation, including Sheep and Wolves and My Sweet Monster. He began his career in 2001 at the Wizart studio as a cameraman and editor on the animated project The Last Man from Atlantis, directed by Vladlen Barbe, and later worked in Moscow on animation projects with Georgy Gitis while also gaining experience as a television designer for major federal channels. After several years, he returned to Voronezh to direct Sheep and Wolves, establishing himself as a key figure in Russian animated cinema, and he currently also teaches Creative Design in Animation, Illustration, and Computer Graphics at the HSE School of Design.
