Synopsis

Ksyusha is in the tenth grade, she writes songs with her friend Glory and dreams of attracting the attention of graduate Pogulyaev. The problem is that Ksyusha is fat, because of this she is an eternal target for bullying. When the school announces a competition for participation in. On the last call, Ksyusha decides that this is her chance. Director

Alexandra Karmaeva is a Russian filmmaker born in Tolyatti who moved to Moscow at the age of eighteen. She studied at the Gorky Literary Institute (Faculty of Fiction and Criticism) before continuing her education at VGIK, where she trained as a feature film director under Vladimir Menshov. Her work spans both fiction and documentary, including the feature debut All Wrong Girl, as well as short films such as In Case of My Death, Please Call (2021) and How Daddy Stole Snow for Mom (2020), with the thriller While I’m Alive and Beautiful currently in production.
